Jews For Jesus Messages

Jewish Gospel Music

Jewish gospel, or Messianic, music ranges in style from the poignancy of the Psalms--which have echoed in Jewish hearts throughout the ages--to all the joyful exuberance you would expect to find at a Jewish wedding. The melodies might sound new and exotic to you, but you'll recognize phrases such as, "God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son." All our Jewish gospel music and drama express the thrill we feel in knowing the Messiah, as well as the love that compels us to tell others.

Christ in the Passover

Christ in the Passover shows the link between the ancient Festival of Redemption and Christ as the Lamb of God - you will never forget it! This sermonic demonstration is visual, so you will actually see a table set with traditional Passover items. Our missionary uses Scripture as well as the visual items to walk through a Jewish Passover seder, weaving the story of the Exodus together with the life, death and resurrection of Christ. The words He spoke in the upper room come alive as each Hebraic item is carefully explained. Many churches finish this powerful presentation by celebrating communion, and most who have tell us that Christ in the Passover has deepened their church's communion experience.

Christ in the Passover - Abbreviated Seder

"Seder" is the name given to the Passover home service and meal. Whereas the Christ in the Passover presentation is a sermonic demonstration done from the platform, this Seder is done in a sit-down setting and allows for the sampling of various foods, often as a pot-luck meal. It does not usually incorporate the full Seder service (which can often last for several hours in the Jewish home). For specific details of how this Seder will be conducted, please contact the church.

Christ in the Feast of Tabernacles

This sermonic demonstration uses dramatic visual aids to paint a picture of how Jesus fulfilled the Festival of Sukkot (also known as the Feast of Booths or Tabernacles). Our missionary will actually set up a small tabernacle from which he or she will use various props to explain the traditional and Christological significance of this holiday. Jesus' claims to be the Light of the World and the Living Water pop into perspective as the meaning of this holiday unfolds.

Gospel in the Feasts of Israel

The Gospel in the Feasts of Israel points out something that many Christians do not realize: Jesus made many of His messianic claims in the context of Jewish feasts and festivals. This message, based on Leviticus 23, gives an overview of these holidays which point to Jesus and which He is known to have celebrated. This message is particularly good for those wanting to know more about how Jewish customs and traditions illuminate the Gospels.

Hanukkah

The Hanukkah message recounts the story and significance of this holiday. In 168 BC, the infamous Antiochus Epiphanes, ruler of Syria, defiled the Jewish Temple by sacrificing a pig on the altar to the god Zeus. Three years later, Mattathiah the priest and his five sons (the Maccabees) drove the Syrian invaders out of the land and rededicated the Temple to God's service. Also called the "Feast of Dedication," this festival commemorates the Maccabees' victory with the lighting of the menorah, a nine-branched candelabrum. Jesus taught in the Temple on Hanukkah (John 10:22). This message will help you discover him as "the light of the world" to whom we dedicate our lives.

Jesus in the Old Testament

From Genesis to Malachi, explore how Jesus fulfilled Old Testament prophecy and look at what some of the first-century rabbis said about Messiah and his coming. More than an Old Testament lesson, the missionary will also share his or her first-hand experience of speaking about Messianic prophecy with Jewish people today.

Y'shua Message

The Y'shua Message centers around the person of Jesus (whose name in Hebrew is "Y'shua"). You might hear an exposition of the name of Jesus; a message on messianic prophecy in the Old Testament; or an account of the dual nature of Y'shua as God and man. No matter what the focus, our missionary points out that knowing about Him is not enough without entering into a personal relationship.

Ministry Talk

It's been said with a smile that Jews for Jesus is about 2,000 years old, give or take a year. But as a modern mission agency, Jews for Jesus has been around since the early 1970s. For those new to our ministry, our missionary will acquaint you with what God is doing among the Jewish people through our work. If you already know about Jews for Jesus, here's a chance to catch up on what's been happening in making the gospel "kosher"!

Personal Testimony

Our missionary will bring a personal account of how he or she came to faith in Y'shua (the Jewish way to say Jesus). Want to find out about other Jewish people who've joined the growing numbers of Jews who are for Jesus? Check out Stories of Jews Who Believe in Jesus" on this web site, too.

Behold Your God Message

A Bible-based message that will encourage Christians to share the Good News of Messiah. The speaker will also give an update on our evangelistic project, "Behold Your God", to reach every city worldwide with a Jewish population of 25,000 or more.

Jewish Evangelism Class

We've found that if you can witness to a Jewish person you can witness to just about anybody! By attending a Jewish Evangelism Seminar, you can glean valuable tips on presenting the gospel to Jewish friends and "not so Jewish" friends alike. We will provide insight into various objections to the gospel as well as conversation techniques, understanding Jewish sensitivities and more.

The Jewish Evangelism Seminar is often given as a Saturday morning seminar or at an adult Bible class, or is sometimes given as a series. Contact the sponsoring congregation for details.
