Aden Friedman

Canada Branch Director

Aden Friedman was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, into an Orthodox Jewish family deeply involved in the Jewish community. For a period, his family practiced ultra-Orthodox Judaism, and Aden studied in yeshivot (Jewish seminaries) in both South Africa and Israel.

"In 2010, Aden met Cara, a believer in Yeshua (Jesus). Through her life and the authentic faith of her family, he began to re-examine the identity of Yeshua. After a significant season of study, reflection, and spiritual searching, Aden came to believe that Yeshua is the promised Messiah of the Jewish people and the Saviour of the world.

Compelled to share this life-changing faith with his own people, Aden joined Jews for Jesus in 2014 and was ordained as a missionary in 2017. In 2020, he authored My Yiddishe Mama, a Jewish heritage cookbook designed to celebrate and preserve treasured culinary traditions among both secular and Orthodox Jewish families in Johannesburg.

In 2021, Aden and Cara welcomed their son, Levi Ezra, born in Jerusalem, Israel. Today, Aden serves as the Canada Branch Leader for Jews for Jesus in Toronto. He is an alumnus of the Arrow Leadership Program in Canada."
